The Washington State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital provides full-service care and offers a wide range of specialty services in critical care, oncology, cardiology, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, dentistry, and neurology for both small and large animals. Each year, the hospital treats over 20,000 patients including companion animals, horses, livestock, wildlife, and exotics (e.g., camels, reptiles, raptors, etc.). Faculty and students have access to the most advanced medical imaging devices used in veterinary medicine including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT scan), and nuclear scintigraphy for large and small animals. Our veterinarians and students also use sophisticated diagnostic and treatment technologies such as ultrasound, endoscopy, arthroscopy, and radiation therapy to ensure all animals get the best possible care. We are AAHA certified.

The teaching hospital provides around-the-clock veterinary services to the public, giving residents of Pullman and the surrounding communities access to some of the best veterinary care in the country. The hospital is also a veterinary referral center for practitioners in the Pacific Northwest and western Canadian provinces. People from the Northwest and all over the nation bring their animals to the WSU teaching hospital to receive unmatched specialized care, including advanced cancer treatments, and unique surgical options, all using the latest medical technologies. Staff work with board certified diplomates, interns, and residents throughout the hospital and assist with teaching 4^th year professional degree students in a fast-paced environment.
